Mariamman

Mariamman is the South Indian Hindu goddess of rain. Mariamman is a form of Durga who took the form of Kali.As "Maha Maya" she find reference as Krishna's sister in Bhagavatha Purana and Maha Bharata .She is prayed for protection from evil.Her worship mainly focuses on, bringing rains, curing diseases like cholera, chicken pox, etc.
